What is a trend going on in the pharmaceutical industry that doesn’t get enough attention?
One major trend in the pharmaceutical industry with limited attention is the digital transformation with the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning. This is applicable throughout the journey from the drug discovery and development process, to the customers engagement and the patient experience with the medication. That being said, pharmaceutical companies are set to accelerate their digital transformation, adapt their workforce skillset and focus on creation value and solutions within the healthcare ecosystem.
What would you like future generations of women to know about their voice/leadership/gender equality?
It’s important for future generations of women to know that their voice needs to be heard and that they should be confident in their abilities and leadership to make a better world.
I believe that women should develop their skills and seek out more opportunities to lead, break gender stereotyping and advance new leadership styles promoting kindness and compassion.
A significant progress has been lately made towards gender equality, yet there is still a long way to go. Women should advance gender equality by speaking out, advocating for change, and supporting one another.
What is something you wish you had known earlier in your career?
I wish I knew earlier the importance of self-care and giving myself the time to recharge and relax outside of work. I had a fast-growing career and used to prioritize work over my personal life and my well-being at some point.
I am now more conscious about my work-life balance and the importance of being productive and fulfilled in both my personal and professional life. I manage better my days to allow room for family time, hobbies and social activities.
What is the most important thing you have learned that makes you an effective and inspirational leader?
I’ve learned while leading teams to live my authenticity and lead with a heart. It's about putting people first and creating a culture of support and encouragement. When setting business strategies and challenging targets, we sometimes underestimate the human element. In my experience, leading with empathy, compassion and care for others helped me build trust, a positive work environment and achieve success stories with my teams.
