  • How often, where and when do mentoring sessions happen?
    Mentors and Mentees decide together what schedule works best. Meetings can be online (like Zoom), by phone or in person. We recommend agreeing on location and timing early on, and aim to meet for 30–60 minutes every couple of weeks to stay engaged.
  • What type of support is available for Mentors and Mentees?

  • What is the time requirement to participate?
    Typical engagement in the program ranges from 6 to 12 months; however, a shorter commitment of four months is also available based on your preferences. The value you gain from participating will reflect the effort and commitment you invest. You can choose to extend the relationship offline as it suits your needs.
  • Who do I contact if I have questions or concerns about the mentorship program?

  • What kind of events are organized as part of the Mentorship Program?
    The WLP Mentorship Program hosts a variety of events to support mentors and mentees. These include: Virtual orientations, Speed connect sessions, Lunchtime mentor webinars, In-person mentor meetups. Events are designed to offer training, networking, and resources that enrich the mentoring experience.
  • What types of roles exist within the Mentoring Program?
    You can register as a Mentee, a Mentor, or take on both roles simultaneously. Your choice will depend on your current goals and how you'd like to contribute or grow within the program.
  • How does the matching between the Mentee and Mentor work?
    Mentees search through Mentor profiles and choose those whose experience and journey align with their goals. Mentors can also browse Mentee profiles. Introductory Conversation: Mentees contact selected Mentors for a first chat to check compatibility on goals, timing, and availability. Invitation & Final Match: After finding the right fit, Mentees send a formal invitation. If the Mentor accepts, the relationship is confirmed on the Mentor City platform
  • Can I have more than one mentor or mentee in the program?
    For Mentors: Mentoring is most impactful when it's sustainable. Our program supports up to 5 mentees—choose a number that lets you give meaningful support without overextending. You can adjust this anytime in your Mentor City profile to ensure a healthy balance. For Mentees: To help you get the most from your mentoring experience, we recommend focusing on one WLP mentor at a time. Strong relationships need time, trust, and space to grow; and keeping it to one mentor ensures each connection gets the attention it deserves.
  • When and how do I register for the WLP Mentorship Program?
    To register for the WLP Mentorship Program, first ensure you have an active WLP Membership. The WLP Mentorship Program is a continuous and flexible program to suit the individual needs of its Members. You may join at any time by: Registering on Mentor City (as a mentee or as a mentor), our online platform and Completing your online profile to at least 90%. After completing this step, you are free to start browsing the profiles of the many members within the Mentorship community.   • What is the WLP Mentorship Program?
    The WLP Mentorship Program is a dedicated program available to all Canadian WLP (Women Leaders in Pharma) members. It aims to connect WLP members for mentorship relationships, develop a mentorship program that attracts new members, and enable existing members to share experiences. The program supports the matching of mentees with mentors based on their profiles and development areas.
  • How can I connect with one of the WLP coaches?
    To begin, you can visit our WLP website here: Coaching | Women Leaders Pharma, where you can learn about coaching, the three easy steps to understand how the program works with WLP, and more about the WLP coaches. A complimentary chemistry session is available for members interested in pursuing coaching. This session helps you to determine which coach is the right fit for you.
  • How do I take advantage of my profile being shared on the WLP LinkedIn and Instagram pages?

  • How can I volunteer for a committee with WLP?
    As a non-profit organization run by volunteers, we always seek new leading women to get involved. You can find out what positions are available for members to volunteer for on our website and a means to apply: Become a WLP volunteer | Women Leaders Pharma
  • Membership Renewal Program
    Points will be awarded to your account 30 days before your WLP Membership expires. The points will expire 2 months from the day it was awarded, you can check the expiration on My Rewards. Currently points can be used to redeem for a 10% off Membership Plan coupon.
  • What is the membership refund policy and cancellation process at Women Leaders Pharma?
    Women Leaders Pharma is committed to providing our members with the highest level of service possible. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your membership, you may request a full refund within 10 days of payment. If you wish to cancel your membership after the 10-day refund period has ended, you may do so at any time through your profile or by contacting info@womenleadersinpharma.com. However, please note that Women Leaders Pharma does not provide refunds for cancelled memberships. Once membership is canceled, access to member benefits and privileges will be terminated at the end of the current billing cycle. We appreciate your understanding and support in our mission to empower women in the pharmaceutical industry. If you have any questions or concerns about our membership refund policy or cancellation policy, please don't hesitate to contact us.
  • How do I check my membership status?
    You can find the status of your membership under My Subscriptions. If you are not already logged in, click on the Log In button in the top right corner and log in with the email and password you set at sign-up. After logging in, the Log In button will change to your Name. Click on your name to see the drop down menu and select My Subscriptions.
  • Membership Cancellations and Refunds
    If your membership is set to automatically renew, you need to cancel your subscription prior to renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. If payment has already been processed, Membership cancelation can be done up to 10 days following the date of charge and will be eligible for a full refund. Reach our to us at Contact Us | Women Leaders Pharma to request a refund. No refund will be issued for Membership cancelation made after the 10 days window.
  • What is the difference between an Account and WLP Member?
    An account gives you administrative access to your email notification settings, subscription and event history as well as ability to save payment and contact information for easy check out. WLP Member is someone with a WLP membership subscription. Membership gives you exclusive access to Members-only content and discounts: In-person skill-building events at a reduced cost Access to certified coaches at discounted rates Eight free group coaching workshops hosted virtually Access to the WLP mentorship program and events at no additional cost and the option to enroll anytime that meets your needs and schedule. Volunteering opportunities with different committees Possibility to be profiled on our WLP LinkedIn and Instagram pages
  • My Rewards
    You can see how many points you have and when they expire. This is also where you redeem points for rewards. Rewards redeemed with points will also be displayed here. See Membership Renewal Program
  • Profile : Members-only
    Profile gives you an opportunity to share a little about yourself. If you have written for WLP in the past, your posts will also show up here. See My Account for privacy settings. Click on Edit Profile or go directly to My Account to update your privacy settings and information shown in Overview.
  • Directory
    Follow the link to Join the group. You need to be a WLP Member to join and view the group. In the group you can post and interact with other WLP members. Group directory also serves as our Members Directory, allowing users to view each other's public Profile. Join the group to be findable. See My Account for privacy settings.
  • Account-area overview
    You will have access to Account-area menus after your sign up/sign in to your WLP account. Note, signing up for an account is not the same as becoming a paying member of WLP (a.k.a WLP member). There are 2 Account menus. Accessed via your Image & Name icon on the upper right of the screen. Log Out option is located here as well. Side menu that is available once you visit any of the Account-area pages. Hovering over My Account will show you additional account management options. Please note some resources are for active WLP members only. Profile : members-only WLP Connect : Quick link to our monthly members-only Newsletter. Directory : members-only My Events: See your upcoming and past events. My Account My Subscriptions My Wallet: Manage your saved payment methods My Rewards Settings: Manage what email notifications you receive.
  • My Account
    From My Account you can toggle what information is displayed publicly by clicking on the icon next to the field. You can also set your entire profile to Private under My Account, scroll down to Visibility and privacy.
  • Where can I access the Real Time with WLP podcasts?
    Real Time with WLP podcasts are designed to inspire and empower women leaders, drawing on their life experiences and covering topics of interest to them. You can access the podcasts here: Podcasts | Women Leaders Pharma or through your regular podcast channel.
  • Event Cancellation or Refund
    We do not provide cash refunds for Event purchases. If you cannot attend the event, you can transfer the admission to someone else or request a credit towards the next event you attend. Please note, a regular WLP event cannot be credited towards Shine Bright Awards Gala. To request a credit, reach out to us at Contact Us | Women Leaders Pharma.
  • How do I stay informed about what's happening at WLP?
    We encourage all members to follow our posts on our social media channels (LinkedIn and Instagram), and information is updated regularly on our website. We also produce a monthly e-mail newsletter summarizing all of the activities happening with WLP.

At WLP, we prioritize keeping event fees accessible while maintaining the high quality our members expect. Since event attendance is optional, our approach allows us to keep membership costs low while offering discounted rates to members who choose to attend. This way, you can enjoy exclusive access to powerful discussions, key information, and valuable networking opportunities with industry peers, pharmaceutical professionals, and thought leaders.
